This dashboard map is based on the Getting Things Done (GTD) approach developed by David Allen (www.davidco.com).

This map is designed to be a one-stop-shop for your GTD implementation. It is designed for Mindjet® MindManager® 14 and makes use of Markers and the Index capability to provide a simple but effective self contained GTD list manager.

GTD and Getting Things Done are registered trademarks of David Allen & Co.. Everything has to come to an end. Whilst it was not an easy decision, it was inevitable. We will no longer be updating our add-ins for Mindjet® MindManager.

As of now, our add-ins are fully integrated with MindManager® v6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 (2012). Whilst the add-ins will remain available for the foreseeable future, we won't be supporting Mindjet® for Windows v11, MindManager® v14 or any future version.

Our focus is still to provide tools and techniques to help you make optimal use of your most precious resource - "Time".Brad Allenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14585384137317059854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7805000641995584635.post-48809422595838397382013-09-24T00:00:00.000-07:002013-09-24T01:19:25.188-07:00Meeting Minutes and Green Vegetables
What do Meeting Minutes and Green Vegetables have in common?

An analogy occurred to me whilst participating in an "effective meetings" program. One of the recommendations given at the end of the exercise was that we need to produce minutes for all meetings. It occurred to me that this is like telling a child they must eat their green vegetables. Yes, we all know they are good for us, but that doesn't make them any easier to take. As you may know, the key to getting the vegetables off the plate is to make it fun. That is where CAAP enters the picture. CAAP is an integrated add-in for Microsoft® Outlook® for taking and publishing meeting minutes. I wouldn't go so far as suggest CAAP makes taking minutes fun, but CAAP definitely makes taking minutes less of a chore.
I am looking for Beta testers to help shape this tool. You can learn more and download the tool here: http://tpassist.com/caap.
The add-ins still integrates fully with MindManager® v6, 7, 8, 9 and 10.Brad Allenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14585384137317059854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7805000641995584635.post-17280936239142713962013-02-26T14:04:00.000-08:002013-02-26T14:04:45.205-08:00TPAssist Licensing ChangesWe have changed the licensing options for TPAssist 2007. We now only offer the Perpetual Product License. This license entitles you to download and use patches and minor updates (i.e. Version 1.1, Version 1.2 etc). We are no longer offering subscription based licensing. We have also reduced our product pricing. You can see the new details on our Store page.

Existing subscription license will continue to enable the product. When these subscriptions expire, you will need to purchase a Perpetual Product License.
There is an issue with the installer when you choose to enable Excel and MS Project, but not Outlook. After installing TPAssist and launching Mindjet for Windows, you will get an error suggesting the Add-in can't be loaded.
The fix (for now), is to uninstall TPAssist 2007 and then re-install TPAssist 2007, and enable the "Outlook" option.
There is one new issue we are working on and we still have the issues identified in v10.1.459 (See here).

There are known issues with TPAssist 2007 v1.8.7 and Mindjet for Windows (v11.0.272).

Accessing the "TPAssist Options" prevents MindManager.EXE from closing. If you access the "TPAssist Options" dialog, close it and then exit Mindjet for Windows, the EXE stays running in the background. Opening Mindjet again, and then closing Mindjet causes an exception error. The only work-around at present is as follows: after closing Mindjet, use Task Manager to terminate MindManager.EXE.

Note: This issue has also been seen with TPAssist Capture v1.3.6.

To avoid any issues, you could stay with MindManager 8.1, MindManager 7.2 or MindManager 6.2.

FYI - the issue seen is:

Ghost Ribbon commands - see this blog post.

(Updated 2/Mar/2011 - the issue is now being seen in Windows 7 too).
Brad Allenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14585384137317059854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7805000641995584635.post-28415476377302652112010-03-16T11:11:00.000-07:002010-03-16T11:13:19.658-07:00TPAssistCapture for Outlook version 1.2.6We're recently released an update to TPAssistCapture for Outlook.

This update, version 1.2.6, fixes a bug when capturing e-mails with the exact same "sent date/time".

You can download the update from here: http://www.tpassist.com/Downloads/DownloadReadMe.aspx?prod=6&release=1

Remember to close Outlook before you run the download.Brad Allenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14585384137317059854noreply@blogger.com
